Healthy Work Campaign

Design, HTML/CSS/WordPress/jQuery Development, Responsive (Mobile-Friendly)

The Healthy Work Campaign (HWC) is a public health campaign focused on raising awareness in the U.S. about the health impacts of work stress on working people. The site was a long-term project with a full team of content collaborators and many moving parts. The client wanted a friendly, clean and well-rounded design with a splash of color. The navigation needed to be easy to follow around the site, given the complexity of their written content.

In addition, one of the most important pieces of the project was determining how best to display their “Principles of Healthy Work” in a way that introduces its dense information step-by-step, rather than all at once. The goal was to allow visitors to interact with the information and digest the concepts a little at time. There were two iterations before settling on the final version. The design is a simple, interactive matrix to convey Healthy Work’s foundational principles, defined by the client’s vast array of research.

A graphic designer contributed the logo and icons to complement with the overall site design.

Testimonial from the Project Manager:

“I am pleased to recommend Amy Turner as a web designer and developer, a web host admin, UX designer, general web backend administrator, and more.

I have worked with Amy since late 2016, and collaborated with her to develop healthywork.org, a sizable website with lots of materials to update and optimize for use and speed. She has been an excellent communicator, collaborator, and problem-solver from start to finish. Always pleasant to work with, she has gone above and beyond to execute whatever challenges we have thrown at her with grace and clear timetables for completion.

Anyone who gets to hire Amy will not want to let her go. She is a gem!”
